About Christina Whitlock

Christina Whitlock is a trailblazing figure in baseball and softball coaching, bringing an exceptional combination of playing excellence and coaching expertise to Diamond Dreams Academy. As the Assistant Director of Coaching, she plays a vital role in the Academy's mission to elevate baseball in India through her wealth of experience in player development, scouting, and coaching.

Christina's extensive coaching career spans both baseball and softball, with experience in the United States and internationally. She has made history as the first woman coach for the St. Louis Cardinals' Minor League Baseball teams, serving with the AA Peoria Chiefs and the Rookie FCL Complex Team. Additionally, she has worked as a Birddog/Associate Scout, demonstrating her keen eye for talent identification and player evaluation.

Her international coaching experience is equally impressive, having served as the British National Team Coach. During her tenure, she led Team GB to a Bronze Medal at the 2017 European Games and successfully qualified the team for the 2018 World Games. In 2018, she was promoted to coach Pitchers and Catchers for the 19u British team, further showcasing her specialized expertise in these critical positions.

Christina's teams have participated in prestigious international events including the European Championships, World Cup Qualifiers, and various international tournaments, providing her with invaluable experience in high-pressure competitive environments and international player development.

Her collegiate coaching experience includes serving as a former NCAA Division II head coach at Le Moyne College, where she led the team to the NCAA National Tournament in 2009. This achievement demonstrates her ability to develop winning programs and guide teams to national-level competition.

As a player, Christina was a two-time All-American at the University of South Carolina, where she holds several career records. She played a key role in leading the Gamecocks to the NCAA Women's College World Series in 1997, showcasing her championship-level playing experience and understanding of what it takes to compete at the highest levels.
